Jody LoMenzo, President

Over the course of her career, Jody LoMenzo has represented Fortune companies in crisis and celebration, launched start-ups and counseled non-profits. She founded Point of View to offer her clients senior counsel on communications issues that affect most companies and organizations in today’s ever-changing global economy including: reputation management, brand integrity, media exposure, crisis management, employee communications and community relations. She regularly deals with the national media and is adept at managing her clients’ needs.

Jody has conducted intense interview simulations to prepare spokespersons for appearances on 20/20, The Today Show and Good Morning America.

She served as the Richmond office director for the international public relations firm Burson-Marsteller. Prior to that, she was a consultant to Wachovia Securities during its merger with A.G. Edwards. She was director of investor relations and public relations at Insmed, a bio-pharmaceutical company, during a difficult patent lawsuit and restructuring. With prior experience with bio-pharma clients in launching new drugs, she is well versed in FDA protocols and marketing restrictions.

She was hired as a contractor by Capital One to help add a new dimension to the internal web site --researching and writing employee profiles to integrate new employees as the financial services company expanded into the banking sector.

Previously, she served as marketing and PR director for Bon Secours Richmond Health System, handling numerous crises and issues that confront healthcare providers in a highly competitive market. She also branded the health system under the Bon Secours umbrella brand, “Complete Health” and helped raise brand awareness by more than 25% in the first six months.

As communications director for the Motorola-Siemens joint venture, White Oak Semiconductor, which became Qimonda, Jody implemented the crisis communications plan and supported the company as it grew from a core staff of 20 to more than 2500 employees.

At the nationally-recognized Martin Agency, she served as director of strategic communications for Martin Public Relations, the firm’s PR division. Jody was the public relations leader for her clients including Christian Children’s Fund, HCA, FMC, Amgen and Health-Tex, Motorola and Amtrak.  A skilled media trainer, Jody has coached a wide-variety of clients -- CEOs, scientists, financial advisors, noted physicians (neurologist Oliver Sachs, M.D., among others), and two Miss Americas -- to help them better understand how to communicate with reporters and editors. She was repeatedly requested by Hill and Knowlton/NY and top PR firms to work with sensitive media issues.

During her decade-plus career as a journalist, Jody worked as a producer, reporter and writer for a Midwestern PBS network, ABC’s Good Morning America, CBS Nightwatch and WABC-TV in New York. As special projects producer at WABC-TV, she covered presidential conventions and inaugurals, in addition to history-making events including the Challenger explosion. She received an Emmy nomination for her planning and production of the 100th Anniversary of the Statue of Liberty for ABC’s owned and operated stations. A strong public speaker, she also taught journalism at the University of Richmond as an adjunct professor.

Jody also owns Emanation, a company that translates her PR and marketing skills to help individuals, not companies. She focuses on helping job seekers of all levels develop their personal brand and make memorable impressions with hiring managers.
